Cobwebs

as i touch the cobwebs of my past
strangled at the sleepy corners of my mind
cloudy fibers are woven with symmetry
as if my life dangled with moments unaligned

as they lay thick of fine particles of dust
times of yore covered with painful lies
not knowing if i have to pout or smile
and wait for the tender tide to rise

knowing that water seeks its own level
tiny facts of life rose to fame
never did i make a bizarre conclusion
letting go of sharpened tongues that put me to shame

for whatever reasons there might be
your mere presence was meant for the truth
you were caught in the middle of sifting out
between the olden times and your youth…
