unexperienced one
complexity of life is still unknown
its unpleasantness under the sun

a child always love to play
with the ignorance about some things
and his innocence about the world

a candy is happiness to him
the rain brings smile on his face
this simple joy fills his emptiness

happiness so simple the child enjoys
adulthood may claim his stage of innocence
little by little he’s into the unknowns
building a life he may call his own…

The Beggar – Entry for Eugi’s Weekly prompt (Nov. 25,2021)

______________

finding himself with eyes pleading
lying everywhere with no place to go
on pavements cold as the morning snow
resting his soul living with sad memories aglow

different colors walking through him
slippers and shoes made no difference
he watched them move inside of him
no one felt what his hands were begging

he prayed hard that compassion would grow wings
to fly over and shower him not with earthly things
but LOVE is all he needs and everything will follow
to a soul like him a little kindness people will bestow

you don’t see it but he has his thoughts running
if you could hear his heart and read his mind, saying
my brain has too many tabs open” swarming his mind
could somebody close one tab by being kind?

too many questions seeking too many answers
without shelter, it’s a survival to the fittest
how is he going to pass the days in serious hunger
the beggar, a part of society’s essential fiber.

i’m too shy to say
even putting it in writing
i can’t directly put into words
dissenting feelings not to hurt

i can’t bring out the No
to a modest and demure loner
if what i hear are words so mellow
maybe the no won’t be at the corner

“i can’t go with you now”
really it’s too hard to say
i just can’t say how
an alibi can go astray

STARLESS NIGHT

May be you’ll wonder why the sky is starless tonight…

the hut owner blog

2014 - 1 (9)

1

the stars seem to be hiding

from my lonely sight tonight

somebody must have hid them

from me to twinkle bright

2

or somebody covered my eyes

with clouds so thick so wide

or is it the forthcoming storm

with thunder rolling to form

3

or somebody gathered them, put them in a box

intentionally stored them,  put them in stacks

or the Lord did not hang them tonight

so people can see how’s our world without Light

4

but the Lord is unforgetful

for the things He had given

He has a purpose for all His actions

to show to people directions

5

He has the power to take them back

He’ll gather to safety all His flock

and to give what to whom

just like the stars He had broomed

Writings on the tree barks

by : Bacardi Gold
26/nov/2021

“If you want to experience a forest, mingle among its trees,” writes Michael Wojtech.

Trees have their protective outer covering in their trunks and branches that are colored gray and brown. There are variations in their colors and textures, if you examine it closely.

In the picture, you can see that their skin are carved by sharp objects by tourists who visited Nogas island in the province of Antique, Western Visayas, Philippines. Aren’t the tourists hurting the trees in such a way that they are piercing the tree barks. Leaving their names on trees won’t make them famous.

i took a unsuspecting glance at her

as i stood facing the wall

deep-seated dimple adorned her face

now sunken as a smile gave the embrace

she looked like Francesca

woman of conviction, woman of courage

a look-alike of a woman i’ve known

a lovely loving mother on the canvas
