with foliage in gold
together with its flowers
are maturing tenfold
season’s period is ending
a new one knocks to begin
autumn will be unfolding
life’s new chapter is calling
as the cycle goes a-changing
the elders will be retiring
at this season’s end
autumn leaves start to fall

what do i see now
on this wide space of nature
the far distant reach of my eyes could allow
enjoying these vibrant prismatic
God’s creations right now

flowers of colors like a stretch of rainbows
a mile long fantasy floating in the burrows
those attractive green thorns poking out at the stems
could sting those wanting
to share their deceptive dreams

flowers, flowers, flowers everywhere
the horizon is a line of colors between water and air
flowering but forever are denied of fruits to bear
like a woman dressed in new feelings
dropping the curtain from pains

now i see the world is full of vain pretensions
under the masks hiding some guilty situations
but could flowers be some kind of a fix unfolding
the world knows
nothing could be in safe keeping …

Flowers of Dahilayan Forest Park…

These flowers can be found in Dahilayan Gardens adjoining the Dahilayan Forest Park and Dahilayan Adventure Park in Mindanao. The cool climate of the park can be attributed to its location which is nestled at the foot of Mount Kitanglad ranges in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines. Afternoon rains is a frequent occurence. At times it lasts till the early part of dawn.

I didn’t think that there exist an orange colored rose. But one day my sister brought along with her this plant, an orange colored rose. She said she bought it for Php 100.00 per pot which was already bearing some flowers. I only know the red and white colored kinds of roses.
