La Playa de Roxas, or Baybay beach as it is commonly called by the locals, faces the Sibuyan Sea and belongs to the Western Visayas Region, at the northeastern portion of Panay Island which neighbors Aklan, Antique, and Iloilo. Roxas city is the capital of Capiz province which has a population of 167,003 based on the 2015 statistics.

Baybay beach is a favorite tourist spot of local residents on weekends. The beach’s gray sand of 7 kilometers long boasts its charm through the night, setting its shores with ample visitors from nearby towns served by the neighboring restaurants that cater sea foods and other cuisines of reasonable prices which are a come-on for visiting local friends and foreign guests.

Your moments become more appealing, glamorous and romantic as you stroll on the shore at night. It could be made enjoyable seeing various activities in sight, like, fishing and having some lovely conversations with the local gentle people.

A group of fishermen drop their net at the beach before the onset of darkness…

As the catch grows in numbers, these men gather their strength together pulling the net as it slowly nears the sand bed on shore…

Getting their acts together, darkness gets closer as the net of fishes nears the beach's sands...

In addition to the day’s take, a boat with their catch arrives to unload…

Then the night falls in silence…

my mind is singing some songs
i know not which to finish
there are songs of love
and great admiration
songs of hate and separation

unfinished tunes in my mind
i know not which to sing again
right in the middle of every chant
i know not which to say the lines
happy or sad goodbye defines

to end some songs i choose
some scenes i need to see
which among those apply to me
those quotes where i’ve been through
life’s worldliness i believe is true…

A sunny day
bright and full of smiles
ambience is in high spirits
everyone stepped out of character
Clouds took wings and
rushed to a distance
gave space to two people’s pleasures
now rejoicing in the moment’s freedom

once will be enough
dreams don’t have reruns
nightly affair with closed eye
s
a trip elsewhere in a distance

it’s the other way around
what they really mean
when the night plays you’re rich
morning is, you’re a guy in need

it is not real nor the truth
when you wish upon a dream
it is what you hope in thought
that you will reign supreme

your will to win gaining the laurels
losing hope is undoing a dream
if you’re tired running, walk but don’t stop
’till the race is won don’t loose your steam…

Cobwebs

as i touch the cobwebs of my past
strangled at the sleepy corners of my mind
cloudy fibers are woven with symmetry
as if my life dangled with moments unaligned

as they lay thick of fine particles of dust
times of yore covered with painful lies
not knowing if i have to pout or smile
and wait for the tender tide to rise

knowing that water seeks its own level
tiny facts of life rose to fame
never did i make a bizarre conclusion
letting go of sharpened tongues that put me to shame

for whatever reasons there might be
your mere presence was meant for the truth
you were caught in the middle of sifting out
between the olden times and your youth…
