alluring presence pried my vision’s range hooked in her image a little bit grand from where i stood, i felt a little strange looked like the lady in Frankenstein’s land
later that night she walked into my dream in her hand she held a lighted candle called my name… her fangs showed, i had to scream in fear, i hurriedly took my rifle
that brief mental picture awakened me vampires take their flights into worried minds good sweet sleep requires the mind worry – free so we can dream away nightmares of all kinds
i’m staring at you with inquisitive eyes stupefied i must say it’s been a while that you’ve been hanging on that flat solid blind wall
writings on some of the numbered days marked to be brought to mind my happy smiles are one of a kind ungodly images nothing can compare go raining on my dreadful nightmares
notes for the somber bleak moments checks for the cheerful lively commitments you never smile or showed any fear just hanging on there a new calendar year after year
The Philippines has never ran out of beautiful places for visitors to see and explore. One could be fascinated and charmed when they visit this particular place that will attract their attention on its unusual character.
In Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, Philippines, there’s a river that the local people claimed to be enchanted. Unverified stories circulating, a fisherman laid claim stories of fish that could not be caught in the river because it is haunted by supernatural beings.
No diver has ever fathomed its depth, not even skilled or professional ones.
The “Enchanted River”, flows into the Philippine sea and the Pacific ocean at Barangay Talisay, Hinatuan. Modesto Farolan, the Father of Philippine Tourism, gave its name as described in his poem “Rio Encantado”.
This deep spring river, though enchanted as its name suggests, is slowly being unclothed of its mysteries. As far as divers have explored, they discovered a series of underground caves that interconnect each other acting as filters for the water making it clear all year round.
Local legends were inspired by its exceptional and mystifying color changes during daytime turning it to hues of sapphire and jade.
It is still unknown to fully understand how and where the water source originates from even a diver’s life was claimed by the river in 2014, its first victim, at 40 meters beneath the surface. He was trapped at a narrow entrance cave and never showed up to catch his last breath of air.
Experiments are still a continuing process to unearth how enchanted this river could be.
Tough, through the ugliness of times, you’ll be unyielding to the challenges, though bad thrusting strength to earn your view of glory retaining grace, self decency you have
Distinct from the other life that merits desert’s bone-dry state now in abundance life’s colors abloom as heartache exits rain’s sweet scent blends with the sunlight’s radiance
Your diligence have grown roots underground reaping fruits of crowned hopes you’ve been deprived the greatest leap of change that you have found life’s purpose mounted, destined to survive
Walk on, outlive your journey’s chosen path chase the unwritten rule of mind and heart
Frightened by the outburst of storm all of me became damp soaked with guilt can’t fly with feathers wet with sins I beg the sun to dry me not to wilt
Felt the mood of my spirit being sold to the devil in exchange of a crate of gold emptiness seized me and gave a rousing roar embraced me closer to knock at Satan’s door
believe me, my life is in shambles tears are washing away erected holy temples my heart’s in pain going around in circles take my hand, i badly need a miracle
in the worst of times i could only cry helpless to be me i could only die but thunder became so quiet like the moon wounded heart played tough and it’s a miracle too soon…
if i’ll tell my story to myself to entertain my state of mind i won’t fill my space with self-pity from feeling withdrawn and partly empty if pretense would make me look an upright person getting off the hook stinking stories from the wicked backdoor won’t break my heart when roars are washed ashore i will trust my own values and beliefs neglecting phony news thriving beyond limits embracing pure thoughts without fear they will be filled with honest hopeful cheers
sometimes i walk without my shadow following with closed eyes my spirit is on call wandering in the black of time it glides over the sea not mindful of its mercurial height until the zigzagging drop became the close-mouthed dawn
Teacher.adventurer is a blog recounting my nostalgic experiences during my travel. I had visited many countries and territories already (about 17 nations) nevertheless, I am still looking forward to navigating the world like a free bird- a citizen without borders. Traveling for me is a wholesome stress relieving, a feeling that I exist like the wind, the water and a silt that go where they are destined to go, believing it will end up to certainties somewhere else. I TEACH to spread goodwill, environmental sustainability and peace in the world! #Travel.Environment.Advocacy.Culture.Harmony
