Mermaid or Snake ?

I find this statue very unusual in its form. I thought this was a mermaid, but looking at how the bend at the stomach makes her more of a snake than a mermaid. Her odd and very strange figure is likely that of a carnivorous reptile. Do you agree with me ?

You can find this incredible “being” inside the premises of Dawal beach resort in Zambales, Philippines.

trying to catch up before it’s gone

he needs some quick response to win her heart
in the twilight of life he needs to rise above
life’s a sea of risks, chances can tear them apart…

lines full of spiny little thorns
tracing life’s untold painful byways

honeyed path, their moments are sweet
unmindful of those pauperized ones they see on the street
desirous hands ignored not one gold they’ve shared

pretty face, unkind heart,
familiar but not a godly

I feel the loneliness that’s far beyond
I don’t know the reason alienating the star

A line that divides the ocean from the sky
As I get closer, it runs away from my eyes
The nearer I get, the farther the horizon
When do I get warm to your distant emotion ?

I can only see the stars at night
The day seems so envious they’re out of sight
When skies are clear, you choose night to appear
Then you yourself begin falling like a tear

There’s no losing chance for a heart that waits
Time will tell when to open the gates
The far horizon and the stars at night
Into my heart they will all be tied…

don’t know where it’s coming from

unchain me from the shackles of doubts
free me from mental pressure
lend me a soft closure

chances share me the joy to sing

like a tree i hide under its shade
