the morning heavens seemed humid
as the wind-blown leaves swayed to and fro
moist and teary petals danced with the foggy mood
birds’ songs strayed beyond the limits of hello
the sun peeped thru the contours of the mountains
slowly lifting the curtains of the new day
shadows moved quietly slow and blusterously fast
as humans burned energies to earn some pay
the afterglow is at the mercy of the blinded sky
rested its fate at the hands of destiny’s time
laid quietly on the bed of fortune
what is written is forever unknown …
