As You Grow, Child

_______________

a life seemed to float like the clouds above
with God’s grace you were a creation of love
in thy mother’s womb, asleep in the garden of Eden
you were the child lovingly made in Heaven

despite the pains that have gone through
the joys you gave were comfort though so few
you were the spring in the heat of summers
carrying you was a pride on the bold shoulders

they have crossed the deep turbulent ocean
waited for you despite the great distance

if in your life the plight will drag on
faith will inspire you to catch the early dawn

be brave, don’t be the moment’s snowflake
heartaches are there to put your future at stake
don’t let yourself be thrown overboard
prayers are your shining armor and your sword

go, find yourself while you’re young
experience reality and speak the other tongues
till the soil, learn your own personal skill
remember, the world is like a spinning wheel

your nights are as crucial as your days
judgment should be truthful and simply fair
find and express LOVE to many of mankind
the best memoirs that you’ll leave behind…

an empty room
swaying in outer space

a glass wall
where teardrops spill off

a candle lights up
in solitary gloom

how could i break away

from these sensation and restive insights
and fall prey to a judgment
done in midnights…

in Your direction…

I kept it to myself
I was bruised and crushed to the ground
I was bleeding inside

Someone
scarred my heart
but it will mend

Someone
battered my state of mind
but my judgment will still be morally right

Though the pain has remained unseen
I still have an open vein
writhing in perennial pain

Other people speak ill of me
Releasing dirty names on me
I turned my back pretending no one was there

I looked up to the sky
And held my head in Your direction
saying, “Forgive them for they don’t know what they’re doing.”
