me and myself doing my own
separate from all the others, unassisted,
a stag, unescorted individual, an introvert

i know how independent i could be
doing my own thing whenever i want
’cause i know myself best than anyone else

alone by myself in a crowd of thinkers
searching and exploring just myself
will only seat me in the company of my shadow

getting lost in a gang of thousands
still i always get back home to the BEING i love
ALONE by myself, my own leader to my personal goals…

she’s female, a woman
a wife, a sister, a lover
a sweetheart, a mistress
a girlfriend, a teacher

a politician, a doctor
an actress, a driver
a writer, a blogger
a criminal, a prostitute

a nun, a servant
a musician, a singer
a chef, a banker
a grandma, a mother

whoever she is,
she’s independent in her judgment or action
she has always been her own woman
capable of bearing offspring
our lives began with her and her man

she’s called a WOMAN by designation preferred by most modern female adults, the standard parallel to man
and a LADY as the term of approval and the term of courtesy in the sense of a “polite, refined woman”
