You, Mirror

everyday i see you hanging on the wall
like the eyes of night guarding moments at the hall
being a spectator in my daily life
you didn’t seem to mind
in the spell of silence, radiating fright

got scared when i passed by you last night
bright stroke of light came in from outside
i felt the quivers of my bones
as my mind deciphered impending overtones

it might be an illusion
when the ghost suddenly appeared
i heard myself screaming

as i saw myself with a different face
but i took time looking at you
i realized the ghost was me
scaring myself out of a mirror
faked by the moment into a horror

sometimes our lives may get into tears
as we cower ourselves in some fears
we can’t be weak in every scene
strength is derived from faith and felt from within

Tonight, as I close my eyes
i’ll forget about my fears
i’ll send them to the clouds
and let the rains fall as tears

And when the morning comes
i’ll let the flowers bloom
to its brightest colors
and drive away my gloom

I’ve been missing you
for sometime my love
I will be at the entrance door
to give my heartfelt welcome kiss

But if you won’t come
to be back in my embrace
i’ll give you back the flowers
and a cup of my tears…
