_______________

You just came into this life of mine
Like the innocence of a child
I didn’t pray for the closeness
but you have shown me
I didn’t expect the chances
the nearness you’ve put on display

Your joy always excites me more
Your tears weaken me, hard to ignore
Your fears caused a trouble to an extent
Your laughter is the grin I always invent
There’s always a sense of empathy
’cause you’re always there for me

We don’t have to walk hand in hand
We don’t have to talk to demand
Your presence may cause you to be in my diary
It’s your absence that makes me feel ordinary
Whoever you are, who do you represent
I’m sincerely thankful… in you, I’ve found A Friend

FRIENDSHIP

I penned this poem years ago and, today, I feel that posting it here would disperse my own idea and description about what I have grasped and explored friendship through the years.

FRIENDSHIP

i am not him and he’s not me
i have my own personal identity
to some issues we both don’t agree
sometimes we’re friends, sometimes enemies

on occasions he’s my buddy
he’s unique in his own distinct way
he’s trekking his unknown destiny
his sincerity i don’t have to weigh.

in size i maybe small
but i can offer a bigger heart
friendship, our rapport to call
needs the other when one of us fall.

in society we stand differently
rich or poor we can find harmony
where or when, solidarity can spring
this FRIENDSHIP be one that’s lasting…

friendship…

i tried to look back
the intimacy that we had
the familiarity that we built
the friendship that has chilled

living the moments of confidence
that have aged to a mood of silence
metamorphosed into a sphere of distrust
moments have mingled with the renegade dust

as our treasured times heavily weep
wallowed in the cluster of drifting gossips
needles and string will save and defend
finding judgment to silently mend

retired calendar hanging mutely on the wall
marked the years and current stage of growth
friendship at times sails smooth and rough at seas
but fixed harmony of togetherness in existence…

friends

I have few friends. Befriending anyone demands my feel. A feeling of lightness towards a person may lead to consider opening up a conversation. Physical appearance is insignificant. Through a conversation, my first impression could be partially based and I could gamble for a second plunge.

This is how friend is defined by the dictionary. I took only three significant definitions. I thought that using pictures will further boost what the dictionary says.

It is a noun.

1.a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.

2.a person who gives assistance; patronsupporter

Almost there...give me one more push... #HappyAlert via @Happy Hippo Billy

3.a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile:Who goes there? Friend or foe?

It's beautiful, this time of day... dhm

It is a verb (used with object).

Rare. to befriend.

to add (a person) to one’s list of contacts on a social media website:

Absolute love

An idiomatic expression of friend.

  1. make friends with, to enter into friendly relations with; become a friend to.

There are many sub-topics about friends that could be discussed. Idioms, quotes, quotations, sayings, poems, and songs could be written about. Its significance could not be ruled out in our everyday undertakings. Its meaning could be put to practice. We could find friends anywhere. And enemies, too. But who needs one. I prefer trustworthy friends rather than bitter enemies. The world would be peaceful with friends. Count on me and let’s make this universe happy.

Friends could be an animal or nature. It doesn’t always mean to be humans. Even beasts could become a sweet friend. In some instances wild animals could be domesticated and eventually adopt our ways and behavior and become our dearest friend.

This is all for now. Be a friend to everybody. It’s worth to be one.
