i’m looking for you
in this befuddling world
the puzzling troubles and hurts
make this spot a mysterious place
of burning fears and weeps

the deepening dark
can’t figure out the coming night
the dawning light
can’t predict the day to be alright

searching for the honest truth
in the macrocosm of falsehoods and lies
the heart and mind have been the home
of dishonesty seeking for a prize

i can’t talk to charm the crowd
or listen to their thoughts announced
i’ve been hearing all their planted lies
just to appease a master in disguise

time could wait for truth to come
for it to be counted on
other times could go beyond
to be believed by no one
