I tread the byways with cold sweat
On a lonely foggy Monday night
To the place where my heart leads
To the tide where love never recedes
Thoughts of your smiles abound with sweets
Dreamy nights afloat even on dusty streets
You have more than a Mona Lisa can possess
More mysterious than her smile, no less
Lovely roses, pink and white
Fresh as the morning drops of dew
In my hand I held them tight
The scent leads me to your daring light
Your troubled nights can’t be dark again
In my arms you lay your worries to drain
Twilight will retreat with sudden burning pain
‘Cause I’ll bring the sunrise cheerfully to fame
As I promised you, I will comply
To deliver my words to your door
This heart will warm the cold ocean floor
You said you love me but, I love you more
Beautiful poem. ❤️
