Daet, Camarines Norte, Philippines has been bestowed the title as the “Gateway to Bicolandia”.
Majority ( 93% ) of the population are followers of the Roman Catholic church while the rest of the people’s faith are divided by several Christian groups such as, Iglesia Filipina Independiente or Aglipayan church, Iglesia Ni Cristo ( INC ), Baptists, Methodists, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Seventh-Day Adventists and others.

St. John the Baptist church, also known as Parroquia de San Juan Bautista was established in 1611 making it one of the first churches in Camarines Norte built by the Franciscan friars and one of the region’s oldest.





The Roman Catholic Diocese of Daet is located in the capital town Daet in the Ecclesiastical province of Camarines Norte, Philippines with the jurisdiction over the province and to the Archdiocese of Caceres. It was created by Pope Paul VI on May 27, 1974.
I visited Daet before but I wasn’t able to see the inside of this church. It seems nice! ❤
